How to Get Here
By public transport:
Take the S-Bahn S6 to Hellerhof or Garath; from here it is a 10 minutes' walk to the nature reserve.
Or take the S-Bahn S6 or local train RE5 or RE1 to Benrath and change to bus no. 788. Stops in the nature reserve are Düsseldorf-Mühlenplatz, Haus Bürgel, and Campingplatz.
Or starting from the Monheim bus terminal, take bus no. 788 to Campingplatz, Haus Bürgel, or Düsseldorf-Mühlenplatz. Ferries:

Piwipper Böötchen passenger and bicycle ferry operates in summer, www.piwipp-boot.de

in Drängenburger Strasse, on the edge of Düsseldorf-Urdenbach

at the caravan site off Urdenbacher Weg in Monheim-Baumberg
Please note there are no car-parking facilities at Haus Bürgel.
