Nature Trails - Up the Old Rhine (5 km)GPS-Track

A gently flowing stream, dappled sunlight, and the occasional flash of wings create a magical atmosphere beneath the tall trees along the Old Rhine. As you follow the trail upstream along the steep bank of the Rhine's former riverbed you pass an old Jewish cemetery. An information platform further upstream gives a wonderful view of a patchwork of ponds, runnels, and swale interspersed with reed beds and scrub willows where you can observe swans, ruddy shelducks, and herons. And if you are really lucky, you may even spot a kingfisher!
