The Urdenbacher Kämpe nature reserve is a river floodplain in the middle of a metropolitan area. Its importance for plant and animal life as well as flood protection is invaluable. The project "AuenBlicke" aims to increase opportunities for people to experience this unique piece of nature, understand its importance, and become more aware of the need to protect it. The project consists of two parts respectively devoted to developing and experiencing the wetlands. We would like to thank our sponsors and partners for their support.
Wetlands Development
Restoring a flood channel and establishing ponds
Setting up watering troughs for animals
Sowing local seeds to develop species-rich meadows
Establishing signage for visitors
