Description: The "Urdenbacher Kämpe" is one of the last wetlands in the Lower Rhine area, which is regularly flooded due to high tide of the Rhine throughout the year. The region is dominated by floodplain forests, traditional orchards, pollard willows and wet meadows. This offers manifold habitats for rare animal and plant species.
Details: During a guided tour you visit the various corners and enjoy the manifold faces and the beauty of this unique area. At selected stations you will gain interesting and informative knowledge about the evolution of the different habitats and their relevance for the preservation of biodiversity.

Meeting point: Parking area at street corner "Baumberger Weg/Drängenburger Straße" at south end of Düsseldorf-Urdenbach. Accessible by bus line 788 from Düsseldorf-Benrath or Monheim-Baumberg, stopping point "Mühlenplatz". Tour ends at same location.
