The manifold faces of the Urdenbacher Kämpe

Description: Our excursion, which is not a loop road(!), begins at Haus Bürgel. From there we open up various facets of the fauna and flora habitat (FFH) "Urdenbacher Kämpe". We learn more about orchards and biodiversity, about alluvial meadows and about the peculiarities of hardwood and softwood wetlands. With a little luck we will also observe one or the other griffin or heron. The excursion ends in Urdenbach at "Piels Loch" (near the "Extratour" beer garden). Those who cannot or do not want to do without traveling by car should park at the "Piels Loch" car park and drive from the nearby bus stop "Mühlenplatz" to the starting point of the excursion.

Reference: Sturdy shoes and, depending on the weather, a sun cap or rain cover are helpful.

Duration: approx. 2 hours

Meeting point: Bus stop "Haus Bürgel" (Line 788 in the direction of Monheim), Arrivals from the direction of Monheim reach the meeting point in the opposite direction ten minutes in advance (as of the 2020 timetable).
